Description The article presents the personality of the child socially disadvantaged in the process of pre-school education. Emphasis is placed on specifics and strategy approaches. In conclusion, we present the results of a research survey conducted in the framework of the research project 'Special Needs in the context of the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education ". The aim of the research project was to analyze the success of graduates of preparatory classes in elementary education system in Brno, with emphasis on the mastery of knowledge and skills of pupils
