Description Functional communication is a prerequisite of social inclusion. The chapter focuses on the communication skills of adults with disabilities who are users of social care services (who are users of homes for persons with disabilities, weekly care centers and day care centers). Briefly introduced the issue of speech intervention, as is defined by the term impaired communication ability and social services. The empirical part of the chapter provides the results of the quantitative research, which was realized in two phases (in the first phase with managers of facilities, in the second phase with speech therapists).
