Description Diffuse coplanar surface barrier discharge (DCSBD) is a type of dielectric barrier discharge operated at atmospheric pressure capable to generate diffuse „cold“ atmospheric-pressure plasmas in ambient air, oxygen and other standard plasma gases. Here the two characteristics of DCSBD are discussed, that have the direct influence on the industrial applicability of DCSBD: the thickness of the DCSBD plasma layer; the influence of absolute gas humidity on the parameters of DCSDBD.
