Description In this paper we describe the methodological background of our research focused on the analysis of the language content of textbooks for learning French as a foreign language in the Czech educational context in lower secondary school, the research deals with the content of textbooks theoretically corresponding to the level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. We describe also the results of this research.
