Description In the last twenty years can be observed positive trend in increasing the number of social services facilities in the Czech Republic, which employ a speech therapist. Still cannot talk about quite solid anchoring its position in these facilities and is therefore to be expected that his position in the facilities may not be from the perspective of other social service workers a priori significant. In the realized quantitative survey were analyzed opinions themselves speech therapist, within the responses obtained from questionnaire were monitored four indicators (collective, usefulness, respect and communication), which may outline the situation in the socio-professional status of speech therapists in homes for persons with disabilities, weekly and day-care centers in the Czech Republic. The paper presents results of research studies carried out between 2012 and 2013.
