Description The article deals with the topic of the relations between culture, religion, politics and law in the environment of the Moravian nobility at the end of 16th and the beginning of 17th century, especially in the Charles of Žerotin's social circles, who as a young man had a possibility to study in Swizerland and France. He acquired profound education mainly in religion and law. Charles of Žerotín used his education, especially, while working as a Captain of Moravian Land between 1608 and 1615 (in 1612 state parliament took place in Brno, which had great significance on the development of the Moravian estate system; in 1613 with the support of Charles of Žerotín The Kralice Bible was edited into one volume).
