Description The study presents design-based research results of motivation of gifted students and the system of teacher education for motivational teaching of gifted students. Research uncovered unsatisfactory current situation in motivation of gifted students. The outcome of our research in a formo of the simple model describing relations has been presented. The system of pedagogical professional teachers´ knowledge, understandings and skills to apply inquire-based science education has been supplemented.
