Description This essay is thinking about the sense and the reasons of Czech supremacy over Poland, which the chronicler Cosmas attributed to Vratislav II. (1061-1092). It is said that Vratislav boasted about the title "King of Bohemia and Poland" since 1085. Number of theories tried to explain this titular, but Cosmas' chronicle does not know anything about this titular overall. Only reason of Czech supremacy, mentioned by Kosmas, is tribute, which Poles had to pay to Czechs for undergoing of Silesia since 1054. The writer of this article is thinking about the question, if this tribute could be the adequate reason of Polish titular of Vratislav II.
