Description The chapter described several phases of disertation project in which author coped with paradigm of research design. It dealt with the problem of interpretation of the relationship of communication skills and social identity among immigrants. The first two parts described the phase in which it tried to define the relationship of language and integration policy in the country. Linking these two areas has allowed us to name the two key variables - pragmatic competence and social identity that we anchored in the paradigm in the following phases of dissertation project.
