Description The chapter focuses on the application of alternative and augmentative communication systems that should help communicate to children and pupils whose communication skills are significantly impaired. These systems are also important in teaching these pupils and developing their communication skills. Specification of the systems used in special educational practice is accompanied by the partial research results – the examples of application in teaching pupil with specifically impaired speech and language development.
