Description This chapter presents communication skills in pupils with multiple disabilities who attend special schools. We briefly introduce severe disabilities, communication disorders as symptomatic speech disorders; we also define legislation policy relating to the issue and education options for pupils with severe communication disorders in special schools in the Czech Republic. The empirical part of the chapter provides the results of qualitative research in the form of two case studies introducing pupils with multiple disabilities.
