| Description | The chapter focuses on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF, 2001) and compares it with the International Classification of Impairments, Disability and Handicaps (ICIDH, WHO, 1980). The concept of disability in ICF is seen as superior to the concept of functional capabilities limitations in a person and it is always defined in a social context. New classification can be understood in terms of positive changes for the benefit of a person with a disability. |
