| Description | The chapter characterizes necessary conditions for functional communication regarding hearing, speech and voice. We specify auditory pair organs, common hearing tests and hearing impairments with their subsequent treatment. The text also presents human speech, its development in time and also its components. Attention is paid to communication disorders. The following subchapter comprises information on the voice, its development, characteristics and disorders. The text is concluded with the case study of a pupil with a progressive deterioration of auditory function of the inner ear and with a substitute of hearing cochlear implant. |
