| Description | The erudition of social workers and their attitude towards people with intellectual disabilities as individuals or groups is of key importance as regards the quality of life of these individuals and their best adaptation in society. Therefore, it is fundamental to pay special attention to the personal characteristics of social workers who are in a frequent contact with these individuals. A great amount of characteristics and competences are ascribed and prescribed to social workers in order to make their influence on clients as effective as possible. The following part of research is focused on education, age and gender of social workers in the special care homes in Žilina municipality. These markers are important to the clients of special care homes. |
