| Description | The chapter deals with a survey concerning sex education and sexual literacy of young people with visual impairments and without impairments. Sex education is analysed in the context of the framework educational programmes. Focus is set on family upbringing, teaching at school and also the influence of media on the sexual literacy of these people. Research was quantitative and we used a questionnaire for young people with visual impairments and without visual impairments. We found out that there is an expected lack of knowledge in young people with visual impairments and we also determined lack of knowledge in the intact pupils. The results can lead to modifications of the framework educational programmes. |
