Description Communication is one of the problematic areas that affect school performance in pupils with specific learning difficulties. The chapter deals with communication disorders, defines particular language levels and their disruption in pupils with specific learning difficulties with focus on the phonetic and phonological language level. A part of the research project is focused on the assessment of the phonetic and phonological language level in pupils with specific learning difficulties in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes of primary schools in Brno. The results of quantitative research are presented.
