| Description | The research on methods of instruction is an important part of any educational reform. The educational simulations in Social Studies teaching model various life aspects and offer the pupils a chance to learn by practising competences important for every individual development and his ability to live in a society. The author of this text presents the experiental study within a quantitative part of her doctoral theses of attitudinal change after educational simulations focused on solidarity. Examining of attitudes was done by the help of Q-methodology which proved to be sensitive enough to capture the change of attitudes. Comparing the results in pretest and posttest the potential of the role-play element in this method of instruction was explored. The end of the text sums up the appropriateness of the chosen methodological technique for the research of attitudinal change. |
