Description The concept of tacit knowledge gets into Czech education slowly. However, tacit knowledge is an important prerequisite for teacher’s acting in a variety of situations. The forthcoming research project, supported by the grant project GA CR (13-200496), is based on the assumption that tacit knowledge: a) includes two basic components: cognitive (mental image of practical activities) and non-cognitive (internal motivation of students for this activity), b) is derived from the student's subjective theory of teaching, c) form in a unexpected teaching situations in the practice, d) facilitated the students' self-reflection and sharing experiences of students with an experienced teacher (mentor). Our qualitative research design is based on these assumptions.
