Description The paper deals with the realization of Media Education in the instruction of Czech language and literature teachers at upper primary schools in the Czech Republic with special concentration on the incorporation of the thematic topics of this cross-curricular subject to teaching. The article summarizes partial results of questionnaire research, which had a selective character and its respondents were teachers of Czech language and literature at upper primary schools in the Czech Republic. In the article there were presented theoretical and empirical solutions, the research problem, including the research questions and hypothesis, and the research instrument and research file, counting collection and analysis of gained data. In the empirical part the statistics procedure was utilized. The research brought findings concerning the situation of Media Education implementation to the instruction of Czech language and literature. The empirical research found out that teachers of Czech language and literature implement to teaching receptive thematic areas to the same degree as productive thematic areas of cross-curricular subject of Media Education.
