Description This text deals with the development of a child with a hearing impairment and its position in the major society. Text also deals with determinants of personality development of the child with hearing impairment and learning standarts and values existing in society. A very important role in this process has, in addition to parents, school. School is an environment, where individuals with hearing impairment spend the majority of her childhood and adolescence. An important task of teachers in regular schools and schools for the hearing impaired children is to show children way to achieve social inclusion as far as possible. At the end of the text, there are presented the results of research. The aim of research should evaluate the options and specifics in the teaching of religion, as well as evaluate the possibility to transmit spiritual values and understanding of these values. This research also includes options of active spiritual life in children with hearing impairment in the Czech Republic.
