Description The paper deals with special education support provided to people living in homes for people with disabilities in the Czech Republic. Based on a quantitative survey of facility leaders and speech therapists are presented partial results of research describing the status of using of speech therapy intervention for social service users under the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic. Partial results of the survey research describing approaches of leaders of those facilities to implement special educational support and outline the frequency of the most common forms of speech therapy intervention in these facilities. More specifically, the paper found at the forefront of pupils, who live in the home for people with disabilities, and are brought to school. The paper deals with the partial results of qualitative survey, interviews with teachers and educators of these pupils' information was obtained about special education approaches to pupils, which are compared with the resulting necessity also conducted case studies. The subject of the research is the analysis of support of pupils' communication skills, who living in social service.
