We are ISŠA - a school about cars and motorbikes

Before you pronounce the full name of our Integrated Secondary Automotive School Brno, the Formula 1 service team will do a complete pit-stop. We are simply ISŠA. But there's a lot more than just words behind that acronym: one of the most modern and best-equipped secondary schools in the car and motorbike industry, highly professional teachers who will guide you through modern car and motorbike techniques, and plenty of fields of study you can pursue.

Choose your major

Our programmes  are divided according to duration and whether you get an apprenticeship certificate or a school-leaving certificate at the end:

3-year apprenticeship programmes end with an apprenticeship certificate:

• Car mechanic
• Motorcycle mechanic
• Body repair technician 
• Car painter
• Truck and bus mechanic
• Truck and bus mechanic - SCANIA specialization
• Mechanic/diagnostic technician for agricultural and construction equipment

4-year study programmes (concluding with a school-leaving exam)

• Autotronics
• Transport Technology 
• Transport Operations and Economics

You can continue your studies for an additional 2 or 3 years after completing a 3- or 4-year programme

• Autotronics
• Operatinal Engineering

A one-year programme designed for those who have completed high school in another field and want to switch careers

Practice, Practice, Practice and a Bit of Theory

Pictures and instructions in textbooks won’t tell you much without hands-on experience. At ISŠA, you’ll get your hands on every screw during your studies. We have modern classrooms and workshops in a renovated complex. The most vital organs of our school are the diagnostic station, spark-ignition engine lab, roller test bench, engine dynamometer, alternative fuel workshop, paint shop, body shop and the diagnostics and repair center for motorcycles.

We’re backed by renowned partners where you'll gain experience directly in authorized service centers. Brands like BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Porsche, Jeep, Škoda, Ford, Volvo, Opel or Fiat need no introduction. Equally important partners for us include Autonova, Scania, Motortec or DPMB. You’ll also master the right techniques with them.

During practical training at ISŠA, you’ll always be on the move. And you can burn off any extra energy at our sports facilities – we have a multipurpose gym, two fitness centers and a football pitch.

Scholarship programs

You can even get paid while studying – up to tens of thousands of crowns a year. Join a partner service team and receive a nice financial bonus. Currently you can choose from partnerships with Hošek Motor, Scania, Agrotec, DPMB, Louda Auto and agriKomp.

Gaining experience abroad

If you're good enough, you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience through an exchange internship in France or England. We regularly compare our students’ skills across the Czech Republic and abroad. We co-organize the national finals of the Junior Car Mechanic competition and send our representatives to the international car and motorcycle mechanic competition. We’ve brought home more than a few trophies from these events!

We engage in projects and professional associations

We cooperate with professional and industry associations SAČR, SDA and the Confederation of Industry and Transport and we take part in many innovation projects. For you as a student, this means constantly improving teaching quality, instructors with training, and ongoing innovation of workshop, lab and classroom equipment.

We enjoy spending time together outside school too

At ISŠA, you can develop your athletic, technical or creative hobbies through extracurricular activities. We offer a sports club with several sports, technical or language clubs, and regularly organize trips to trade fairs or auto shows. We also host our own auto show and school prom.

We’re not just a school, we’re a lifelong learning center!

Just like our teachers and specialists regularly enhance their education, we also offer many professional training programs. Every year, we help over 500 adults expand their knowledge of cars and motorcycles.

And – if you don’t have a driver’s license yet, you can get one at our school completely free as part of your studies!
