School Profile

Gymnázium and Secondary School of Agriculture and Economics Vyškov is a modern educational institution providing a very high level of secondary education completed with a school-leaving exam. The school is public, and studies are free of charge (www.gykovy.cz). It is a full-time study program. The school has around 800 students in 28 classes. The grammar school offers both 4-year and 8-year programs. For students in the 8-year program, we offer two specializations – Gate (traditional teaching) and Ozon (project-based learning). At the secondary vocational school, we offer two specialized 4-year study programs: Business Academy and Practical Nurse.

Unique Features of the School

The school offers a welcoming atmosphere. We have a fully qualified teaching staff. We support the development of students’ talents and encourage their participation in competitions, academic olympiads, and extracurricular activities. Students in the upper years of the grammar school can choose from a wide range of elective subjects in their 3rd and 4th year. Vocational school students complete their internships at Vyškov Hospital and in private and public companies with an economic focus. The school is equipped with fully modern classrooms featuring interactive whiteboards, computers, and data projectors. Specialized classrooms for languages, IT, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, and for healthcare and economic subjects are equipped with modern, field-specific teaching tools.
