About the department

Welcome to the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Education website, Masaryk University.  You will find information here about the fields of study provided by the Department of Mathematics, about a scholarly and pedagogical seminar organized by the Department of Mathematics, about the consultation centre of the department and the requirements for final exams.

The Department of Mathematics is located on the first floor of the Faculty of Education building – Poříčí 31, Brno.

Study

The Department of Mathematics arranges the teaching of mathematical disciplines:

  • in the Masters programme of Teacher for Primary schools,
  • in the Bachelors programme of Teacher in Kindergartens.

It further provides the teaching:

  • in the Bachelors programme of study – Teaching Assistant of Mathematics for lower secondary schools,
  • in the follow-up Masters studies – Teacher of Mathematics for lower secondary schools.

Apart from this, the Department of Mathematics provides teaching within several lifelong education programmes.
