Welcome to the web pages of the Masaryk University Language Centre at the Faculty of Education (abbrev. as CJV).

The Faculty Language Centre can be found in Building B – Poříčí 7 (5th floor).

Study

The Language Centre at the Faculty of Education provides teaching of foreign languages (English, German and Russian) for students of Bachelor's and follow-up Master's degree programmes of the non-philological fields of study (teacher training, special education and social education programmes).

Organisation of language studies

FULL-TIME MODE OF STUDY

Bachelor's programmes

• Two semesters of compulsorily-optional courses “A“ and “B“ completed by an examination at B1 level of the CEFR after the 2nd semester of studies (enrolment recommended in the 2nd or 3rd semesters of study).

Follow-up Master's programmes

• Two semesters of compulsorily-optional courses “C“ and “D“ completed by an examination at B2 level of the CEFR after the 2nd semester of studies (enrolment recommended in the 1st or 2nd semesters of study). 

PART-TIME MODE OF STUDY

Bachelor's programmes

• One semester of a compulsorily-optional course completed by an examination at B1 level of the CEFR (enrolment recommended in the 2nd semester of studies). 

Follow-up Master's programmes

• One semester of a compulsorily-optional coursecompleted by an examination at B2 level of the CEFR (enrolment recommended in the 1st semester of studies). 

DOCTORAL STUDIES

The department also organizes teaching and exams in English (Mgr. Gabriela Hublová, Ph.D.), German (Mgr. Radim Herout), French (Mgr. Kateřina Sedláčková, Ph.D.) and Russian (Mgr. Monika Ševečková,Ph.D.) for the Faculty of Education Ph.D. students.
