Welcome to the pages of the Department of French Language and Literature, Faculty of Education, Masaryk University.

Study

At the present time, the department provides two-stage degrees:

• three-year Bachelors programmes,
• two-year Masters programmes.

The three-year Bachelors programme of study offers the following types of study:

• Teaching Assistant of French Language and Literature for elementary schools (a double-subject Bachelors study),
• Teacher of a of Foreign Language – French (single-subject Bachelors study).

The two-year Masters programme of study offers the following types of study:

• Teacher of French Language and Literature for elementary schools (double-subject and single-subject Masters study).

Students of the programme of Teacher for primary schools may choose French as one of the compulsory options, completed by a Masters state final examination. Applicants for an extension of teacher qualifications by another subject can take the option of applying within the framework of lifelong education for a three-year degree in the field of French Language and Literature for lower secondary  schools.
