GALERIE POD TLAKEM: Politické vlivy na program, práci s publikem a edukaci v muzeích umění ve střední Evropě

Katedra výtvarné výchovy Pedagogické fakulty Masarykovy univerzity a Galerie TIC Vás zvou na moderovanou debatu na téma: Muzea umění ve střední Evropě – Politické vlivy na výstavní programy, práci s publikem a vzdělávání.

Kulatý stůl se zaměřuje na dopady politických tlaků, které zásadně ovlivňují nebo zcela mění fungování vybraných středoevropských galerijních institucí. Bude se diskutovat o změnách ve způsobu komunikace, výstavní dramaturgii a edukační práci. Edukace a komunikace s veřejností v těchto institucích často procházejí nejvýraznějšími změnami, přičemž jsou často cenzurovány a kontrolovány ze strany vedení institucí, zřizovatelů a politické reprezentace.
Pozorujeme také jevy autocenzury, kdy se zaměstnanci institucí sami vyhýbají politicky nepopulárním nebo kontroverzním tématům, případně je skrývají za konformní názvy a anotace, které nebudí vášně a pozornost. 
V minulosti některé z těchto institucí čelili čerstvým politickým tlakům, jiné jsou v jejich středu a dalším tento vývoj hrozí nebo se již stabilizují po složitém období. Konference si klade za cíl nabídnout pohled nedávných či současných zaměstnanců těchto institucí na vývoj situace, sdílet vzájemné zkušenosti a diskutovat způsoby, jak se s těmito výzvami vyrovnat. V rámci konference bude představen současný stav a vývoj změn ve Slovenské národní galerii (SNG) v Bratislavě, SK, zkušenosti zaměstnanců Ludwig Muzea (LM) v Budapešti, HU a Muzea Sztuki (MS) v Lodži, PL. Debatu bude moderovat Zuzana Flašková z pozice kurátorky Galerie města Bratislava (GMB), SK.

GALLERY UNDER PRESSURE: Political Influences on the Programme, Work with the Audience and Education in Art Museums in Central Europe – A Discussion

The Department of Art Education at the Faculty of Education, MUNI in Brno and The TIC Gallery invite you to a moderated debate on: Art Museums in Central Europe – Political Influences on Exhibition Programmes, Work with Audiences and Education.

The roundtable will focus on the impact of political pressures that significantly influence or completely alter the operations of selected gallery institutions in Central Europe. The discussion will address changes in communication strategies, exhibition programming, and educational work. In many of these institutions, education and public communication are undergoing the most significant transformations, often being censored and controlled by institutional leadership, founding bodies, and political representatives.
We are also witnessing phenomena of self-censorship, where staff members themselves avoid politically sensitive or controversial topics, or conceal them behind conformist titles and descriptions that do not stir public emotions or attention. 
Some of these institutions have faced fresh political pressures in the recent past, others are currently in the midst of it, and some are at risk of or have already stabilized after a challenging period. The conference aims to offer perspectives from current and former employees on how the situation has evolved, to share experiences, and to discuss strategies for coping with these challenges. It will also present the current state and developments in the Slovak National Gallery (SNG) in Bratislava, SK, the experience of the staff of the Ludwig Museum (LM) in Budapest, HU and the Museum of Art (MS) in Lodz, PL. The debate will be moderated by Zuzana Flašková from the position of curator of the Gallery of the City of Bratislava (GMB), SK.
