CONDITIONS AND CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION
TO STUDY IN STUDY PROGRAMMES ACCREDITED IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
AT THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION
OF MASARYK UNIVERSITY

VALID FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022

Article 1: Filing an application

The applicant registers for the admission procedure via an electronic application in the Information System of Masaryk University  (https://is.muni.cz/application/info.pl?lang=en) and sends the printed documents to: Study Department, Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, Poříčí 7, 603 00 Brno, Czech Republic.

The fee for the admission procedure and for the assessment of the fulfillment of the condition for admission to study according to § 4 8 section 4 letter (d) and section 5 letter c) of the Act on Higher Education Institutions and Article 14 of Annex No. 2 to the MU Statute are set out in the Dean's Measure No. 1/2020.

Article 2: Conditions for Admission to a Bachelor’s Programme

By 31 May 2021, the applicant must send a copy of their completed secondary education certificate with a notarized translation (if the document is not in English or Czech) verified by superlegalization or apostille (if required), a B2 English language certificate, a cover letter and their CV in English. Based on an assessment of the officially certified copies of all abovementioned documents, the applicant may or may not be admitted to study. The assessment of the documents is performed by a committee composed of members appointed by the dean of the faculty.

Article 3: Conditions for Admission to a follow-up Master’s Programme

By 31 May 2021, the applicant must send a copy of their completed Bachelor’s degree certificate (including list of grades/transcript of records) with a notarized translation (if the document is not in English or Czech) verified by superlegalization or apostille (if required), a C1 English language certificate, a cover letter and their CV in English. Based on an assessment of the officially certified copies of all abovementioned documents, the applicant may or may not be admitted to study. The assessment of the documents is performed by a committee composed of members appointed by the dean of the faculty.

Article 4: Conditions for Admission to a Doctoral Programme

The applicant must send a notarized translation (if the document is not in English or Czech) of their Master’s degree certificate (including list of grades) verified by superlegalization or apostille (if required), a C1 English language certificate, a cover letter, a CV in English, and a proposal for the dissertation project in English approved by the future supervisor at Masaryk University.

Based on an online interview and an assessment of the officially certified copies of all abovementioned documents, the applicant may or may not be admitted to study. The assessment of the documents is performed by a committee composed of members appointed by the dean of the faculty.

Applications for doctoral study programmes starting in the autumn semester 2021 can be submitted from 1 January 2021 to 30 April 2021. Applications for doctoral study programmes starting from the spring semester 2022 can be submitted from 1 August 2021 to 30. 11. 2021.
