| Description | The paper presents a methodological approach to the prioritization of historical topics, illustrated by the example of the Thirty Years' War. The aim is to provide a framework for identifying and hierarchizing the key events and facts that should be emphasized in teaching, thus offering a model that can be applied to different historical epochs. The methodology is based on a questionnaire survey of history teachers. Teachers were asked to rate the significance of selected events of the Thirty Years' War. The selected events were chosen on the basis of a content analysis of standard history textbooks. The questionnaire contained scaled questions that allowed teachers to express their professional opinions on the importance of particular historical facts. The paper describes the process of selecting the events, the design of the questionnaire and the evaluation methodology. Emphasis is placed on the theoretical and practical aspects of this approach, including its potential for making history teaching more effective. The collected data will be subsequently used, for example, to create an educational comic book. The presented approach can serve as a useful tool for educators and developers of teaching materials in creating content that reflects educational goals and needs. |
