| Description | In the article, the author presents the first Czech-written music-theoretical work, Musica [...], a book by Jan Blahoslav, and its Appendices, which contains his observation and appropriate advices to singers. Individual chapters of the treatise concerning the methodology of singing education and performance practice are analyzed. The author offers its own view of the issue and translates historical expressions into contemporary terminology and context. |
