Description The presentation focused on the identification of ideological conflicts in curricular documents in relation to languages in three countries: Czech Republic, Austria and China. In our contribution, language policy is examined from the perspective of "language as a resource". Above all, language control and language selection among possible alternatives are examined. Discourse analysis was used as a research method, which allows us to visualize conflicts in the selected curricular documents of all three countries, the positions of language policy towards languages. The results show - surprisingly - that language policy in these three countries, despite the declared recognition of linguistic diversity, leads to the homogenization of the linguistic repertiores of the pupils, and by clearly separating languages and defining their functions, the language should be used in schools be made controllable.
