Description The aim of the pilot monitoring is to determine the situation in school environment in relation to posture of older school age children. In the case studies of classes, not only are the parameters of school furniture taken into account, but also the amount of static activity, quality and quantity of physical activity, body posture of children in sitting and standing and weight of schoolbags students carry on their backs on a daily basis. Pilot case studies were conducted during 2016 - 2017 in three schools in the Czech Republic. The results of the survey will serve as a basis for further extensive exploration of specific factors of the school environment and their impact on the posture of older school children.
