| Description | The content of the chapter are issues of verbal nouns in professional literature to noun valency and characteristics of main differences in conception and description of verbal nouns in common and valency dictionaries. Compound words as certain competition forms of nominal phrases with the noun attribute are pointed out. However, the differences in semantic shifts and stylistic nuances are also mentioned. The focus of this paper is a polemic about division of valency nouns according to M. Hölzner on dynamic and stative nouns and nouns with object nature. In conclusion, several principles of dictionary items processing are presented. |
