| Description | The aim of this research study is to analyze the situation in housing, employment and education in Southern Moravia and also spread the awareness about this issue among current high school students. In the theoretical chapters we introduce the reader to the issue of autism spectrum disorders (ASD), briefly characterize each disorder and outline and summarize the opportunities for the people with ASD in the three given areas. Practical part contains the research survey focused on the situation in the area of housing, employment and education in three case studies. The thesis is mainly based on specialized publications about autism spectrum disorders. Annexes contain the semi-structured interview used for the research and photos from school and sheltered housing. Research study goals: 1. To analyze the current situation in housing, employment and education in adults with ASDs. 2. Based on direct observation, to describe selected workplaces. Partial goals: 1. Learn about the issue. 2. Work with qualitative research methods. 3. To spread the awareness about this issue among current high school students. Methodology: Qualitative research, semi-structured interviews and case studies, direct observation in two settings for housing and education. |
