| Description | The liberalization of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia in the 1960shas created favorable conditions for the restoration of contacts between the Czechoslovak and French writers. Visits of French men of letters in Czechoslovakia contributed to break the isolation of Czechoslovak intellectuals and catch up the delay of the Czechoslovak culture took over the West since 1948. Welcomed even by the Czechoslovak communist leaders, these visits have contributed to the development of cultural relations between France and Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. |
