In accordance with the strategic plans of the Faculty, preparations are underway for the construction of outdoor classrooms on the Poříčí 7/9 and Poříčí 31 complexes. See what the new classroom will look like. The author of the design is the architectural studio Čtyřstěn.

The new building of the studios of the Department of Art Education has made it to the prestigious list of 25 buildings nominated for the Czech Architecture Award for 2025. The international jury selected this year's nominees from 271 proposed buildings. We will find out whether the studios will win one of the main prizes during the Czech Architecture Prize gala on 13 November 2025.
A new feature of this year's award is the possibility for the public to vote for the prize. We will be glad if you support our studios with your vote.

The MU Vice-Rector's Award for Quality Teaching was also awarded to Ing. Mgr. Hana Delalande, Ph.D., from the Department of French Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts of MU - for her innovative approach, emphasis on internationalisation and linking teaching with practice. Congratulations!

A new CORE course Sex, Gender and Society was held at our faculty, led by Assoc. Lucie Jarkovská. It offered students an insight into the role of gender in everyday and professional life.

Our faculty welcomed eight international guests during a dynamic week dedicated to staff, which was filled with workshops, school visits and cultural exchange with a focus on innovation in future teacher education.

Movement and Health Day for Children 2 June 2025

Where? At the Brno Expat Centre at Orlí 3.
1) First, you’ll
- watch a presentation about the most important things to take care of at the start of your life in Brno
- find out how the Brno Expat Centre can help you,
- ask your questions and meet with fellow newcomers. (1 hour)
2) Then, will be guided walking tour through the centre of Brno (1 hour). Finally, you’ll have an option to join the others in a pub for a drink to continue networking.
Attendance is free of charge, but booking is required (the capacity is limited).
