A new place to relax at the faculty!
From Tuesday we are opening the backyard at Poříčí 31! Come and relax, recharge your batteries or just sit in the fresh air. The courtyard is freely accessible to all students and extends the offer of quiet places at the faculty.
Come join us to symbolically open the space to relax, refresh and get inspired. The grand opening will take place on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 12:30 pm.

The biggest university event MUNI DAY is here again after one year! Come to the coMUNIt gathering of students, staff and now alumni at the end of the academic year. Experience an atmosphere that connects, deepens friendships and creates unforgettable memories. MUNI DAY will bring the Masaryk University campus to life on 14 May 2025. Get ready for an informal day of socialising and fun - once again a varied programme of tours, workshops and sports activities awaits you. You will enjoy great music, lots of good food and drink, a relaxation zone and endless opportunities to make new friends and professional contacts.

Water cut-off and closure of the Canteen
From 14 May to 28 August 2025, the first stage of the replacement of the water distribution system in the Poříčí 7 building will take place. The completion work will last until October 3, 2025, with no more water restrictions. Toilets and water lines in the Poříčí 9 building will remain fully functional.
The canteen will be open until 9 May 2025 and then will start its operation from 1 September 2025.

On Thursday, 27 March 2025, a festive celebration was held at the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University on the occasion of Teachers' Day. Its highlight was the traditional presentation of the Teacher of the Year award, which the faculty gives to outstanding male and female graduates working in various fields of education.

The story of Martin Jelínek, who is changing the way geography is taught, is inspiring. He is a teacher and a member of the board of the Horácké náměstí Primary School in Brno, where, in addition to teaching computer science, he focuses on the development of school projects. He is the founder of the professional platform Save Geography, which has become an important source of inspiration for geography teachers across the country. He collaborates with the National Institute of Education, professional associations and the university environment and contributes to the innovation of the geography curriculum.
