School Profile

The school is located in Brno, in the Židenice district, close to the Stará osada transport hub. It provides education to 800 pupils. At our school, we place strong emphasis on foreign language learning. Pupils start learning English from the first grade, and in upper primary they can choose between German and Spanish. We also offer an extended curriculum in computer science. In addition, we educate pupils in an alternative Montessori programme. Our school is introducing modern teaching approaches based on project-based learning across subjects—moving beyond traditional methods found in more conservative schools.

Interesting Facts

The school was established by decree of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy in 1905. The current school building was completed in 1907.
