Our mission is to develop applied behavior analysis in the Czech Republic. ABA offers the most effective methods for treatment and education of children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders. However, its availability in the Czech Republic is currently insufficient. Until recently, education in behavior analysis was not available in the country, and there were no certified professionals capable of delivering quality behavioral interventions. We are changing this by educating and training future experts in ABA as well as other professionals. Our goal is to make ABA available and affordable for all who may benefit from it.

What we do

Education for professionals in ABA, education and health care

- We offer a two-year Verified Course Sequence in ABA for those who want to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
- We organize accredited courses for those who plan to become Registered Behavioral Technicians.
- We offer education for behavior analysts, assistant behavior analysts, and behavior technicians, who want to become licensed as allied health professionals in the Czech Republic.
- We manage a training center where our students can apply for a supervised internship.
- We conduct applied research focusing on training parents and professionals.

Workshops for parents and experts

We organize seminars and courses for parents, educators, and other experts working with children with ASD or other neurodevelopmental disorders.

Czech professional literature

What is ABA

Evidence-based intervention

Hundreds of scientific publications in professional journals from the past 40 years have shown significant improvement in children with ASD.

Socially relevant

ABA helps develop essential life skills for children and adults.

Highly successful

ABA uses empirically proven methods and techniques, successfully teaches new verbal and communication skills and social and self-care activities.

Widely applicable

ABA interventions help children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. They also find success in behavioral management, work safety, sports training, etc.

Interventions based on behavior assessment

ABA is based on the principles of learning and behavior – behaviorism. It focuses on the relationship between environment and behavior. Based on detailed diagnostics and functional behavioral assessment, it attempts to understand why certain behavioral patterns exist and how to change them.

ABA helps us teach new skills and effective communication

ABA enables us to teach new behavior repertoires that help improve the quality of life of children and their families. It usually involves learning new skills necessary for success in school, everyday activities such as self-care or play, but also speech or other communicative abilities.

ABA can also help decrease and eventually eliminate self-injurious behaviors or aggression towards others. Problem behaviors are substituted with new, more socially relevant, and functional replacement behaviors, which allow the child to access many novel learning opportunities.

International achievements of ABA

In the USA or Canada, ABA is considered to be the first-choice treatment for ASD. It is recommended by professional associations such as American Academy of Paediatrics, American Academy of Family Paediatrics, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Society for Developmental and Behavioral Paediatrics, American Academy of Neurology, American Psychological Association or National Institute of Mental Health. Every recommendation states the importance of early behavioral intervention. ABA interventions are covered by many health care plans in most states in the USA.
