Děkan Pedagogické fakulty Masarykovy univerzity vypisuje v souladu s § 77 zákona č. 111/98 Sb. výběrové řízení na obsazení pracovního místa výzkumný pracovník / výzkumná pracovnice pro Katedru geografie (úvazek 0,7).


Požadavky:


  • ukončené vysokoškolské vzdělání magisterského stupně ve studijním programu Učitelstvní pro základní školy nebo Učitelstvní pro střední školy,


  • zahájené doktorské studium (Ph.D.) v oboru pedagogika nebo příbuzném oboru (nejlépe před dokončením),


  • odborná profilace v kvantitativní metodologii (zejména v sociálněvědním výzkumu),


  • zkušenosti se statistickým zpracováním multivariačních dat v programech R, SPSS AMOS a Statistica,


  • praktické zkušenosti s analýzami typu EFA, CFA, strukturální modely, víceúrovňová regrese, aj.,


  • zkušenosti s výukou metodologie kvantitativního výzkumu,


  • publikační aktivita,


  • zkušenosti s řešením výzkumných projektů (GAČR nebo podobné),


  • aktivní znalost anglického jazyka.

POSTDOC POSITION IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH 

Description:

The Institute for Research in School Education located at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University conducts research on the curriculum, teaching and learning, as well as the teaching profession in a broader socio-cultural context. The Institute seeks to engage a post-doctoral researcher to strengthen the international (comparative) and interdisciplinary dimension of our research and expertise. The post-doctoral researcher should contribute to the research activities of the Institute by preparing, conducting, and evaluating empirical and/or theoretical research, and publishing its outcomes for the international research community. His/her research should focus on curriculum / instruction / the teaching profession with special attention to diversity and/or transformation to provide a basis for elaborating theories and/or outlining innovations in the field of school education. It should address issues such as curriculum (content) transformation, knowledge sharing, meaning making, intercultural learning, multilingualism, etc. The research outcomes should be relevant for educational and cultural institutions (especially schools) with the potential to enhance their social, linguistic, cultural, organisational and pedagogical development.

 

The successful candidate should:

  • be a researcher who has received a PhD or its equivalent within the last 7 years,
  • be a researcher who has worked at least two whole years in the last three outside the territory of the Czech Republic in the field of research with a working time of at least 0.5 full-time equivalent, or who has been PhD student (or equivalent) abroad,
  • have a publishing record – in the last three years at least two publication outputs registered in the Thomson Reuters Web of Science, Scopus or ERIH PLUS databases and at the same time publications such as “articles”, “books”, “book chapters”, “letters” and “reviews”. The applicant must be the principal author of at least one publication (according to the subject specificity it may be as the first author, the corresponding/reprint author, or the role of the individual authors stated in the article).
  • have experience in the field of research on school education – e.g. on curriculum (content) transformation, instruction, language diversity and the teaching profession,
  • have experience in quantitative as well as qualitative research methodology (an advantage),
  • have excellent communication skills in English (German is an advantage) and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams.

  • a CV including a summary of work experience, publication activity, involvement in research grants, etc.
  • a Cover Letter,
  • a plan of his/her own research agenda (for two years, in line with the Institutes’ research focus),
  • contact information for at least two referees.

POSTDOC POSITION IN THE FIELD OF SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION RESEARCH 

 

Description:

The Institute for Research in Inclusive Education located at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University conducts research on teaching and learning in inclusive and special settings and inclusion in a broader socio-cultural context, with emphasis on support for learners with special educational needs. The Institute seeks to engage a post-doctoral researcher to strengthen our team with expertise in behavioural intervention in students with neurodevelopmental disorders and severe/multiple disabilities. The post-doctoral researcher should contribute to the research activities of the Institute by preparing, conducting, and evaluating empirical and/or theoretical research, and publishing its outcomes for the international research community. His/her research should focus on behavioural intervention in children with severe and multiple disabilities, alternative and augmentative communication, social skills training and teaching of students with neurodevelopmental disabilities in inclusive as well as special settings. The research outcomes should be relevant for educational and cultural institutions (schools, school counselling centres, early intervention centres and social support services) with the potential to enhance the development of their staff and delivery of evidence-based intervention.

The successful candidate should:

  • be a researcher who has received a PhD or its equivalent within the last 7 years,

  • have knowledge and skills in behaviour intervention strategies and alternative communication systems,
  • have excellent communication skills in English and an ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
